[Invited for free] Broadening your horizons, a reading group

"Can you introduce us to a book that has enriched your life?"

"OVER20, whose mission is to "change the world, starting in your 20s," will be holding a reading session to "broaden your horizons.

What is a book club?

Participating members will bring books that they recommend and present them. Of course, there is no need to prepare any materials.

Each member will have about 10 minutes to present.

Each member will have about 10 minutes to introduce the book and 7 minutes to answer questions.

By having members of different ages, nationalities, genders, and positions, we can create diversity and make the reading session more attractive.

It may be obvious, but the books chosen by first and second year university students are probably very different from those chosen by third year students before job hunting and by fourth year students after job hunting.

It is also the same for working adults and university students.

Furthermore, the books chosen by working adults in their twenties and thirties will also be different.

People who are about to enter the workforce can get a glimpse of society through the books that working people read.

On the other hand, through the books read by university students, working people can come into contact with the values of those who will be leading society in the future.

Why is a book club meaningful?

Simply put, it enriches your life.

By participating in a book club, you can encounter books that you would not normally read.

By reading the books you encounter, you can broaden your horizons.

And most importantly, the connections you make with a variety of people will enrich your life.

The Internet is very convenient, but only personalized information is displayed at the top.

At some point, we don't even realize that we are buried in personalized information.

In a book club, people with diverse backgrounds introduce books based on their own values.

It is an environment where you can encounter a book that you would never have encountered in a personalized world.

I think this is a space that we need in today's IT-oriented world.

Another benefit of book club

It is presentation skills.

I would like to recommend a book that I would go to the trouble of attending a book club.

If you are going to go to the trouble to recommend a book, you want to reach as many people as possible.

This is where presentation skills come in.

How can I present this book in a way that will reach as many people as possible?

Let's improve our presentation skills by participating in every session.
